Summary
“I like it when you take care of me,” Yeonjun mumbles softly, words muffled with sleep. “It’s my favourite thing in the world.”
It’s just like Yeonjun to say things like that—skirting silly and sentimental in one breath like it’s nothing, as if it doesn’t flow into Soobin’s veins and shake his soul.
“I like it when you let me,” Soobin says, speaking to the darkness above them. How intimate it is—he realises—to be in Yeonjun’s bed after midnight in the dark, surrounded by lingering traces of his cologne, to sit in his bed as a welcome visitor and touch his hair in a way so many others have only fantasised about. It’s almost too much to have felt so close to Yeonjun all day, to have watched him fall apart and helped piece him back together, and Soobin wonders if these were all lines he shouldn’t have crossed because now everything between them feels different and though Soobin can’t pinpoint why, he can pinpoint exactly when.
Now.
Or: When Yeonjun's first relationship comes to a mysterious end, Soobin revisits feelings he thought he buried a long, long time ago.

Yeonjun stared wide eyed as the younger made his way over to the pair. With Soobin unashamedly letting his eyes drag over every little bit of his boyfriend, specifically fixing upon his bare legs that were surrounding Minhyuk’s thighs. Walking over to the two and letting his large hand rest on the back of the pink haired mans neck. Caressing slightly before forcing Yeonjun’s head to tip backwards. Smirking at the way his eyes fell half closed in a submissive manner.
“So earlier when you mentioned how cute your boyfriend is..” Minhyuk started, ignoring the fact that neither of the younger men were looking at him. “Your boyfriend was Yeonjun?”

“Binnie, listen to what I have to say, okay?” Yeonjun softly asked, waiting until Soobin nodded against his chest. His heart was breaking to see their leader like this. He closed his eyes and steadied himself.
“According to the doctors, a similar situation has occurred before. It was not our fault. It's just how humanity is. Hyung is sorry, I should have noticed I wasn't feeling well. If it's anyone's fault, it would be mine, Soobin-ah. Don't blame yourself.” Yeonjun softly explained, warm words washing over Soobin. Soobin cried more, his hands clenching onto Yeonjun's hospital gown.
Soobin's voice broke as he choked out his next words, as though the words themselves tore his throat as he spoke them, “I raped y–”
Or: Soobin and Yeonjun accidentally mate, changing their relationship forever. Yet, unbeknownst to them and everyone around them, their relationship continues to change as time slowly ticks on.
