If he hadn’t already clocked on to how touchy the guy was before, this definitely would have put some pieces into place. “So…?” The prompting leaves Tom realizing he hadn’t said anything in a minute, too focused inward as per usual. It’s insane, really, that any of this is happening at all, least of all to him.
