Quackity laughs, snatching the book out of Karl's hands with a teasing smile. Karl thinks he'd do anything to protect it, that the quote was fitting.
"That's cheesy as fuck. Didn't know you were the religious type Karl."
He isn't, but as he watches Sapnap burst through the doorway, laughter wild as a forest fire, and eyes filled with glee, he thinks that there could be a God.
He shouldn't be, but as he remembers the facility walls that had once closed around him, caged and cornered, and oh so small, he thinks that maybe there is a God.
He would never be, but as the minutes slip by, and there's no threat of broken skin and the only bruises he has are those on his lips, he realised there probably is a God.
