Summary
It happened so quickly.
At first, it had been reports of strange sounds and demon activity coming from an empty warehouse. They had assumed it was an easy job the four of them could handle. Alec and Jace had gone inside to check it out while Izzy and Clary looked around the area surrounding the abandoned place. They should not have split up, but by the time Alec and Jace thought of this, it was too late.

Summary
The part of Shane that is not panicking goes soft with how…eager Ilya seems for Shane and Svetlana to meet, for Shane to like her. It’s strange, it’s new, it’s wonderful to be able to think about making plans like this. Dinner with Shane’s parents, meeting Ilya’s friends, like that’s something they can have.
So that’s why Shane beats down the urge to crank up the gas on the stove and light a match, gives Ilya a wide and normal grin, and says “Yeah, of course. I’d love to meet Svetlana.”
Ilya sighs and his eyes light up and, oh, Shane wants to love him in the light of day. Suddenly, Shane has an idea that will hopefully stop him from doing something rash that will get him on the news and/or in prison. “And you should meet Rose!”

Summary
“Chim?” Buck yells loud enough that it bounces off a few cars. “Chim, like, Chimney? You have a crush on… Chimney? As in my sister’s husband?”
Eddie recoils, startled. “I thought you said you knew?”
“I… I…” Buck isn’t sure what to say. This changes everything—the entire day rewrites itself, and he sees every single fucking interaction: Eddie fawning over Chimney in the gym. The counter. The calls.
It was never about Buck.
“He’s fucking married, Eddie.”

Summary
For nearly a moon, he’d receive the report maybe twice a week. It always went the same: Unusual, echoing sounds, akin to human voices. Upon investigation, a knock at the Princess’s door, her highness would appear. Completely unscathed, annoyed, perhaps a little red in the face, and claiming not to have heard anything.
By the third week, a legend had emerged. The palace had a ghost.

Summary
So he curls his fingers around the wood of his clipboard and clears his throat. “You have really nice hands, you know,” is what he goes with.
Eddie jerks back just a bit, dropping the halligan into the compartment with a thud as he turns shocked eyes back to Buck. “What?”
“Yeah,” god, what does he even say, “they’re uh, strong. And capable. You know, like…they can do a lot of things.”
Okay, so, maybe this whole plan needs a little bit of work.

Summary
“Oh,” Greg says, his face falling, “that’s Lucifer.”
Buck lets out something between a laugh and a cough.
“Lucifer,” he repeats.
“It's a long story,” Greg says, tugging on the collar of his polo, his name tag clinking. “He's—not exactly well socialized, and he really, really hates—“ he starts, except he’s interrupted by Eddie’s voice, the first words Buck has heard him say since they dropped Chris off at Hen and Karen's.
“Hi,” Eddie says, crouching right under the bright red sign – which, now that Buck’s close enough to read it, says DO NOT PET – and reaching his fingers toward the bars.
“—men,” Greg finishes, his voice weak, frozen mid-step like he’s not sure if he should be hauling Eddie away while there’s still time. “He hates men. Usually.”
