Summary
"Oh, your face!"
"Stop." Sang says, a beat too slow, joining Ahn by leaning her back against the wall.
"That's so why I insisted you'd come."
"What, to make a fool out of me?"
"Dear me, no. Think of it as a team support effort. You're working too hard. I need to watch out for my cell leader, no?"
"I'm working the right amount. If everyone else seems to have taken this job less seriously than it requires, it's not my problem." She forces another harsh, sickly sweet gulp down her throat, then twisting her face in a grimace at the aftertaste. The sourness of the lemon, it turns out, was all curdled up at the bottom. "They'll be dead before the end of the year."
"Who tells you we won't be dead by then, too?"

"This is a love story." (/ref).
A catastrophic doomed-to-fail toxic-yuri we-can-make-each-other-worse romance workbuddies fic.--
Just- godfuckingdamnit, Ema thinks, picking everything up and speedwalking towards the bus stop. How is she to face Franziska now, exactly?
"Hey, thank you for the coat you left me there, when you took the fucking car, leaving me in the middle of nowhere. Asshole."
"Hey, I'm sorry about your impromptu nocturnal meltdown after we accidentally woke up in each other's arms. Fuck- I wish I remembered how to be a better person than that."
"Hey, I'm sorry you got stuck with me. I'm sorry about everything. Can we forget everything and get back to where we were didn't care how much of a miserable and lonely asshole each of us was?"
...
Or the every helpful "Hey, I think I left some evidence back at my place. Wanna come up for some investig-" Oh, as if.

Summary
But bliss?
That is something she isn't willing to gamble anything upon.
That is what Hermia is offering. Lightly as she does anything. Heavy like her unfallen heart, gently carried in blood-stained hands.
What Hyperia ends up saying is far too sincere, far rawer than what she had meant to say. But the words form on her tongue of their own accord, born from ancient anger, in the cramped space between the two of them. "Would you have me begging again, at the doors of heaven? After what they did?"

I wrote an entirely indulgent 2k about The Characters. It's about fallen angels and tragic-comic twins and it's set at 3am in a lesbian bar bathroom. Here it is :)

Summary
Challenging a Godling, it turns out, isn't the best idea one could have.
[...]
And yet, Ryujin's back, under the first lights of that first morning, didn't look so different. The world was still peaceful, as mornings go, still pale and dim, tilted at a 90° degree and parallel to their beds; only the soft sounds of breathing filled the air. Nothing hinted at the carnage that was to come.

Summary
Biological imperatives are the needs of living organisms required to perpetuate their existence: to survive. The urge to procreate is an involuntary and unconscious biological drive which first emerged as an inherent property of living cells and is echoed in the upper levels of organization of multicellular organisms. And so how could an Overwatch doctor expect to be immune, really?

Summary
“I just don’t understand,” Anita began slowly, and then, Cruella noticed, there was a glint in her eye, something akin to frustration, “why they felt the need to make you out as some sort of...of villain.” She said the last bit tersely, shaking her head a little. Cruella simply leaned forward, fingers gripping the marble edge.
“Aren’t I one?”

Summary
The two of them “get” an apartment together. Get in quotes because despite Pildu’s best efforts, the housing market has essentially gone to shit and the landlord’s too busy being devoured by stray monsters to charge them rent. They find a two-bedroom with minimal bloodstains and a half functional door with a deadbolt and Sooyoung puts her stuff down in one room and Sangah places her things in the next one over. (She’s in a kid’s room given the crappy decor and the covers with aliens printed on them but Sooyoung tries not to think too hard about it, to shove it to the furthest corner of her mind.)
Sooyoung’s not used to having a roommate. Even before the world went to shit, she lived alone and it feels strange to have someone’s space overlapping with her own, tucked too close like they’re beneath her skin. She’s not used to leaving the bathroom at 3 AM after taking a piss and nearly walking straight into Sangah, clad only in a sports bra and booty shorts. (Okay, she knows Sangah wouldn’t call them booty shorts but the shorts she keeps on underneath her armor are an atrociously scant length! No one should ever be able to see that much bare skin on her thighs–it’s a safety hazard!)

Summary
Miles does not feel better when he wakes, but at least it is light. He lies in bed for a few long moments, possibly hours. When he finally gets up, he walks out to the pier and stares blearily at the lake. It is cold; the water is rippling in the wind. He wonders if there are fish in its depths, but he would not know. He knows shockingly little. I do not understand anything about this world, he thinks, and he finds the thought strangely comforting. He knows nothing. He is an empty thing. But he does know the one thing, and the one thing he knows is how to hurt.
Or, Miles Edgeworth, alone.

Summary
Hedwig tells the reader a story she remembered from her time as a chronicler, although it’s not exactly what she had expected at the time. Still, it’s an important rapport that sticks to her mind regardless of all that’s happened.
