Summary
April Lewis met Dr. Ray Stantz one brisk afternoon in 1982, near the fountain at Columbia University. From the moment the artistic student met the eccentric lecturer, they had become friends; friends with the promise of something more.
As time goes by the two will become closer and closer, inspiring late night conversations, shared holidays, and weeks without leaving the others company.
Despite their differences, the opposite nature of their personalities, the artist, and the scientist can't deny the age old adage: Opposites attract, and sometimes two things so different can come together to make something wonderful.
Ray Stantz/OFC

“So what did Hammond do to get you here?” Ian asked
“Paid me,” Catherine answered and he grinned
“And?” He pressed
“And what?”
“And I’m supposed to believe a woman such as yourself can just be bought to do something that will inevitably trigger the PTSD you clearly have from whatever horrors you witnessed in the gulf?” He asked as he quirked an eyebrow
“How did you-“
“I’ve read your stuff. After you came back, it was a lot more cynical, more clinical, you don’t describe things the same anymore.”
“You really pay attention to magazines huh?” She asked dryly
“Well I do when it proves my point Kitten,” he explained and she gave him a disapproving look at the nickname.
“My PTSD proves the downfall of democracy?” She asked and he nodded.
“Yeah, in a way it does,” he informed her. “How much do you understand about chaos theory?”

“I had been planning on demanding you no longer date- but this was much more fun than I thought it would be,” Calvin explained. “In fact, so much fun, I think I’ll encourage you to keep dating.”
“Not really up to you,” she reminded him quickly.
“But- if after ten dates you don’t find one man you want to go on a second date with- you let me take you to dinner,”
“And if I win?” She asked.
“I’ll make you food and beverage manager of the entire Wharf,”
“Okay, deal,”
