Summary
When Blaster checks himself in the reflection of the transport's glass, he can almost fool himself into believing that that's the frame of an oversized minibot, and not a flimsy pile of squeaky joints and mismatched parts.
Blaster doesn't know the first thing about mining, or being a boombox, or cassettes, but he'll play it by audial and figure it out. Eventually.

Summary
Smokescreen's memories from the time before joining team Prime are missing bits and pieces. They are returning, very slowly, but not remembering everything from your own past is still emotionally taxing.
Bumblebee doesn't like seeing his friend suffering. He wants to help Smokey in any way he can. And since the adults aren't doing anything, Bee decides to take matters into his own hands.
Smokescreen was not ready for the emotional whiplash involved in getting your memories back.
