    He watched in trepidation as Mydei’s eyes leisurely roamed over his form. His gaze stuttered over his thighs, chest, and arms. Settling on Phainon’s wide-eyed stare, the tips of his ears hot. There was a similar crimson tint high on Phainon’s cheeks, drawing Mydei’s attention to them. The urge to squish them temporarily blindsides him, shocking even himself.

    Mydei croaked out, “Wh–at are you wearing?”

    Phainon opened and closed his mouth, trying to find the right words. He considered running away but then Mydei walked closer, eyes dark.
