Summary
Sephiroth comes back again after Advent Day, and this time, Cloud isn't strong enough to defeat him.
Just before Sephiroth delivers the final blow, Cloud is saved. He's sent through the Lifestream, through time itself, and finds himself in the middle of the Wutai War. Someone like him—a SOLDIER in all but name—is unwelcome there, and Cloud is forced to take refuge within Shinra's forces, led by none other than the young General Sephiroth.
The two are immediately at odds, with suspicions running high and their prejudices threatening to tear everything apart. They learn soon enough that not everything is as it seems, and that working together might be the only way to achieve their goals.

Summary
After getting far too drunk last year and making a fool of himself, Cloud was adamant he would not be going out for New Years Eve this year. Unwilling to let Cloud spend the night alone, Zack eventually agreed that they could just hang out at Cloud's for the night instead. However, thanks to some secret plotting by Zack, plans changed last minute, and Cloud found himself spending his New Years Eve with one of Zack's co-workers instead.
