Summary
Since the day they met, Maya and Franziska have been nervously hovering near one another, dancing around a connection they just can’t seem to make. An off-kilter sick day spent binge-watching Pink Princess changes all of that, as Franziska finds herself thrust into the strange new world of fandom and fanfiction with Maya as her enthusiastic guide.
A metafiction-y love letter of a story about the two of them slowly falling for each other—all they will say, all they will not say, and the catharsis and perils of escapism through fandom.

"It was the intrigue of what was in the box that had Franziska forgoing her usual Saturday morning routine—of reviewing her caseload for the week while eating a light breakfast of bitter tea and a slice of Apfelbrot—in favor of opening said package. The box was held together with a single piece of packing tape, easily cut by the letter opener that Franziska had inherited from her father, and its packaging was similarly sparse. A lone sheet of protective paper was wrapped around a small, rectangular object, with a simple piece of cardstock taped to the front."
Franziska von Karma receives a package that offers some insight into the mind of Manfred von Karma. Sometimes that which presents itself as an answer ushers in far more questions.
