If there are two things Jason knew for a fact that Batman hated, it's magic and John Constantine. Both were unpredictable and often dredged up chaos whenever they were present. Just fucking fuck. Dick didn’t even do anything, so what the hell is wrong with him, spazzing out at nothing, at his first chance at a little fun. He imagines what he must have looked like through Dick's eyes and can vividly picture what he saw: Jason acting so scared and helpless and weak and stupid and—just—fucking —Goddamnit.
Or, Jason isn't sleeping, Dick doesn't know what to do, and Tim just doesn't want to get shot at (again).

The height of skyscrapers was dizzying clarifying moment of stillness when he was falling from them, and so was the escalation of the danger when they had to face the criminals, the pain never felt like a pleasure but it never had to, it only needed to be mind-numbing. At thirteen, Jason pegged Bruce for an easy mark. At fourteen he was in pain when Bruce attempted to be his father. At fifteen he was running hard away from the knowledge that in true he knew. At sixteen he found a way to be a good son.
Jason is twenty six.
