Gale begins to wish Bucky had told him when he would be arriving. He doesn't know when Bucky put the letter in the mail, or when exactly he'd planned to leave Manitowoc, Wisconsin. While Gale had been sincere in his invitation and was more than looking forward to seeing Bucky, he couldn't help but balk at the thought of him meeting Gale's parents.
Bucky would, after all, have to be introduced as Gale's best friend rather than his true part as Gale's lover, his other half, or his favorite person in the world.
