Summary
And as Eddie stands to pull Buck up from the bed, he realises that the t-shirt Buck had put on was one of his own. A muted orange that Eddie hadn’t even realised he still owned. It was old and well-loved, Eddie remembers wearing it when he was laid up in bed after coming back from Afghanistan with ghosts running rampant in his mind and aches all over his body. It looks out of place against Buck’s jeans — but Buck wearing his clothes always feels so right.
Eddie lets his finger linger over the familiar printed words and the hole that’s near one of the armpits, he pokes his finger through it and tickles the side of Buck’s ribs. It makes Buck squirm and let out a choked laugh, a small smile that reaches his eyes appears.

Five times Buck steals Eddie’s clothes and one time Eddie gives them to him.

“Why are you the way you are?” he asks and Buck freezes in his movements. Eddie sounds serious — like he’s genuinely upset. With Buck?
“What, um,” Buck tries, clearing his throat awkwardly, a sinking feeling growing in his gut. “What do you mean?”
“‘s fucking annoying,” Eddie slurs, rolling his eyes again and leaning back to look at the ceiling as if it’s something interesting. “”’nd exhausting.”
Buck’s heart drops, remembering Eddie’s words in the grocery store all those years ago. Eddie just yawns and closes his eyes with a sigh.
“D’you know how exhausting it is to be around you?”

Or: Eddie is annoyed with Buck for being so very kissable but his drunk self isn't the best at phrasing things.

“Long story short, your kid is too damn smart," Buck began. "Seriously, Eddie, maybe you need to pull him out of that fancy school and send him back to public school. Dumb him down a bit so he’s easier to handle.”
Buck’s words became so tangled in his anxiety that he couldn’t really process what he was saying. “What the hell are you talking about? Is Chris okay? Is he in trouble?”
“He’s fine. Safe and sound, happy as a clam, but I’d say he is definitely in trouble.”
