"But what if I overlooked something? What if other parts of the toxin will only appear later? What if she doesn't die, but ends up paralyzed; how are you not worried right now?" Anger boils up in her so quickly it leaves her reeling—the Doctor holds onto it. Not as helpless, anger. Not as weak.
"I am worried." Dan stands closer and she flinches back before he can try to touch her. "But we can't do anything right now—she's stable, right?" Reluctantly, the Doctor nods. "You stay and watch. I'll put the kettle on."
When Yaz is kidnapped and drugged, the Doctor is reminded just how mortal Yaz really is.
