Renjun looks at Mark so much, he begins to feel like he knows him as well as his own reflection in a mirror. Some days, Mark stares past Renjun like he can hardly stand to look at him. Some days, his gaze is soft, and falls upon Renjun like the first few gentle flakes of snow.
When Renjun feels affection for him like this, he knows he paints him better. He thinks maybe it hurts them both, every time he brings the brush to the canvas.

When Jinhou turns 13, she learns very quickly to ask Mark permission for everything. When she asks Renjun, it turns into, “When will you be home? Who else is going to be there? Are those boys going? I don’t like them. Can’t you do something here with just Eunchae and Haruna? Those are nice girls, you should spend your time with nice girls!”
But when she asks Mark, she gets, “Uhhhh, sure!”

renjun snorts. God, what isn’t his relationship to the grooms? “I’m the maid of honor. well, best man, but donghyuck is really the girl in the relationship, so maid of honor.”

Summary
The way Mark’s eyes are wide, hopeful, squeezes something deep in Jeno’s chest, but he knows it’s a dangerous path to tread. A weekend turned week with Mark opens the possibility of a week turned two weeks, turned a month, turned the rest of the summer with Mark.
