Not to praise himself, but Alhaitham would say he's an impeccably good actor. He had fooled the Ex-Grand Sage Azar and the Matra into believing he was stricken with Divine Knowledge enough to follow the plan and get himself escorted out of Sumeru City with no trouble at all.
If he had said this to Kaveh of course, he’s sure that the other man would object immediately. Saying that if he was such a great actor, then why would he not at least try to act like he has a good nature around others? The answer why he doesn’t is simple, it would hold no benefit for him to do so.
Alhaitham believes that he is good at acting.
Which should really say something considering that right now he is trying his hardest to act as if he doesn’t see an illusion of himself dicking Kaveh down into the counter right in front of him.
OR
After consuming a potion gifted by the traveler (at the recommendation of Lisa), Alhaitham finds himself seeing vivid illusions of him having sex with Kaveh every time they're together. Deducing that the visions are a product of Kaveh's imagination, it's only a question of where does he and his already dubious "relationship" with Kaveh go from there.

“You drank? And that too, at the Akademiya’s event? The Grand Sage had one too many wine glasses in front of the most influential people in Sumeru?”
“Acting Grand Sage. And it wasn’t my fault,” Alhaitham grumbled, adjusting his position so that one of his knees slotted between Kaveh’s legs, allowing him to hover over the older man. His palms were planted firmly on either side of Kaveh’s hips, holding his broad frame up as he stared down at the blonde. “The event was boring. I would much rather inebriate myself than answer another question about a possible reinstatement of the Akasha system.”
“And I missed you,” Alhaitham added, as if it were the most obvious thing in Teyvat.
