Summary
For 1st year med student Dazai Osamu, excellence isn’t a goal — it’s a requirement for being allowed to exist. Raised by his father Mori, Dazai has learned that anything below 100% is failure, freetime is indulgence, and parental affection is something one has to earn. Trying to uphold these impossible standards, he gets confronted with how coping mechanisms meant to maintain control can lead to losing it.
Enter Chuuya Nakahara: sports science major, easygoing, backed by a supportive family, and the last person Dazai wants as a roommate. As their contrasting worlds collide and the pressure on Dazai keeps building he is forced to ask himself: is the price of excellence really worth it?
At 15 he brought back a 97 on a test.
"What did you miss?" was all Mori asked.
"One question,"
"And why did you miss it?"
"I misunderstood—"
"You didn't prepare properly," Mori cut him off. "Careless. Do you want to be a doctor responsible for patients dying because of such mistakes?"
"No, sir."
"Then do better."That night, Dazai stayed up late, re-reading his textbook until the words blurred together, fueled by fear of what would happen if he made another mistake.

Summary
They try to look into each other's eyes, but finding something else to fixate on on the screen. And before they know it, they've been staring at each other's reflections on the small screen of their phones in silence for all of five minutes now. Their unsaid "good night"s hung in the air, but something in them was compelling them to keep their phones on. As if a second more would somehow calm the riotous thoughts inside their heads and their hearts.
It's Atsumu who opens his mouth, the question he's wanted to ask already dangling heavily at the tip of his tongue. "...Shoy-"
"Gotta go, Atsumu-san," the other says, and with a press of a button, the line goes dead.
A solemn "Fuck" slips out of Atsumu's lips, and his phone flops pathetically on the mattress right beside him. Atsumu's attempt to ask their relationship status, crashed and burned once again.

Summary
Obanai had always seen the way Sanemi carried himself with all of his scars and admired that confidence and strength. He found himself staring at those scars in admiration of the possible backstories behind each one. The staring soon got out of control, as most things do. Obanai finds himself drawn to the wind pillar, captivated by his beauty he hadn't fully appreciated earlier.
Obanai had no idea how far gone he was for Sanemi until a man joins the pillars. Obanai watches as the new man seemingly steals Sanemi from him with the way they instantly hit it off.
The next morning, Obanai is woken up by a flower petal crawling up his throat.
