This is one scene, told eight ways. Eight perspectives of a night of tragedy and rejoice, of death and life. How does it feel like to die 'painlessly'? How does it feel to amputate your own finger? What is it like to have your one foolproof curse fail you? How can one lose three friends in one night and still live?
Each chapter covers a different character's perspective of this harrowing night. They're all technically one-shots, narratively, but together form a complete picture.
