“Fireflies?” he asked, shifting slightly to look at Alastor.
“Indeed. Marvelous little things, aren't they? For such a simple purpose too. How far we people are behind these small bugs,” The Radio Demon revelled, gesturing to the whirlwind of light with his deft fingers. “How fascinating.”
He nodded in agreement. It was always best to let Alastor go off like this when he wanted to. It was the easiest, and typically the only, way to learn about him.
“I wish I had something to capture this moment with,” Vox murmured when he had finished. “They're so pretty.” He hadn't seen fireflies in a very, very long time.
Alastor made a disapproving sound in his throat.
“You might be able to catch them on screen now,” he began carefully. “But nothing will beat seeing it in person.”

Alastor hummed, knees dislocated so he could rest his chin on the bottoms of his hooves. "I haven't the foggiest idea what you could be referring to!" Alastor's knees cracked as they were put back into place, and he folded himself in half at the hips so he could turn his head 180° to stare straight up at Vox.
"You're so fuckin' weird."
"You're the one fucking weird."

Scarab had had horrible hotel rooms before. He had been crammed into rooms that stunk of smoke, rooms with thin walls and overeager neighbors, motels with suspiciously stained sheets, rooms where the conditioning unit either didn’t work or was stuck on the coldest temperature and once, even a room above a casino where he had been loathe to touch anything.
But he had never quite run into the type of mismanagement that their team had apparently happened across while booking their rooms.
“What do you mean,” Scarab snarled. “That I’m to share a bed with you?”
