My story takes place 17 years after season 6 of the Vampire Diaries. Elena never fell asleep, and Kai never came back from the prison world (Lily fled after understanding she wasn't getting her so-called family back). Jo died of an incurable disease. Ric and Jer live in Denver. Elena and Damon have been married for 16 years, and Care and Stefan for 15 years. They live in the Salvatore house together. Ric took the cure instead of Elena. When she found the cure, she gave it to Ric because she wanted eternity with Damon. Ric gave her her memories at the end of 6x18 when Elena knew for sure she wanted to be with Damon forever.
Amber Rose Salvatore, Damon and Elena's eldest daughter, is 16 years old and looks just like her mother, except for Damon’s eyes.
They have two other kids : Adam Jeremy Salvatore, Damon's carbon copy, who is 15 years old, and Afina Lillian Salvatore who is 13 years old, has her father's hair, looks like a mix of both, and Damon's bright blue eyes. Stefan and Caroline also have a child, a 15 year old girl, named Jasmine Alexia Salvatore. She has a mix of both hybrid features, blonde hair like Caroline and her eyes are green just like Stefan's.
