"Did I love you?" he asked as he fussed over a pack of vegetables. Link foraged more often than he bought anything and he picked through that afternoon's haul with a practiced eye. His attention was on a mushroom as he turned it over in his hand and then sorted it into a pile according to a system that she didn't fully understand yet. He had dirty fingers and his hair was tied up in a loose knot to keep it out of his face. He looked less like a knight of legend and more like a dirty child called in for dinner.
