Summary
The gleaming point of Carnistir’s needle winked up from the cloth in his hands, a woefully inadequate wool that was yet the best he had to offer. Warm, and soft, and perhaps, pretty, a deep red, but not anywhere near the quality of clothing that a convalescent required. This cloak would be for later, when Maitimo’s skin was not yet paper-thin and prone to tearing, and the weight of the fabric could be borne without the bowing of his neck or any stumbling.

Summary
When Obi-wan doesn’t follow Padmé to Mustafar, she’s able to convince Anakin to run away from everything with her. But this doesn't prevent his nightmares from coming true, and he's left alone in a hostile galaxy with the infants she begged him to protect.
“Master Anakin,” Threepio says, still hovering in the doorway. “Might I suggest bouncing the children?”
Anakin stops pacing around with the twins, head swiveling to look at Threepio. He doesn’t have to ask what the fuck Threepio is talking about; Artoo does it for him.
Threepio seems to draw himself up as straight as he can. “I have conducted extensive research on the subject of human childrearing in anticipation of Mistress Padmé giving birth. Holding an infant and gently bouncing them in the parent’s arms is thought to be an excellent calming method.”
“Oh,” Anakin says. “I thought you meant… bouncing them on the floor or something.”

Summary
The Children of Elrond have the choice – and what of the Children of Elros?
--
The crate of figs dropped from her hands, splitting cheap wood against the stones and sending fruit rolling everywhere, and she said, “Atar?”
And in that word, despite the fact she called him her father, Elrond realized at once that this was not his daughter at all.

Summary
“Great, you’re in,” the Jedi says. “Welcome to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Mrs. Lars. Your quarters and uniform will be assigned to you shortly. Padawan Skeft will be here to escort you, please wait on the other side of this door.”
Shmi stands and nearly tumbles over herself.
“That’s it?” She asks, straightening her dress and bag.
The Jedi sniffs.
“That’s it,” they says. “You can—“
“I thought it would be more difficult to persuade you,” Shmi says.
“Ma’am,” the Jedi sighs, “We are an equal opportunity employer. Through the door, please.”(Shmi Skywalker is assaulted by too-real visions of her grandson in pain in the future. She gets a job at the Jedi Temple in order to prevent that from happening and soon after finds herself on a warship.)

Summary
No matter what Anakin said, Obi-Wan was not older than the holonet, thank you, and if it was actually weird to listen to the radio then no one would be operating the frequencies. Since Obi-Wan was, at this moment, listening to channel 81-75 spit crackly Onderanian alternative - a genre that was, admittedly, a little before Anakin's time - through his comm, he was forced to conclude that it was an utterly and entirely normal pastime.
In which Obi-Wan finding a new hobby (that is to say, listening to a late-night radio show hosted by a man known only as Cody) accidentally saves the galaxy.
