Summary
Shadow staggered to his feet; Sonic caught him at the shoulder before he fell over. “Hey,” Sonic murmured, “I meant it, you know. About being your friend.”
“I meant it too. You don’t know what you’re asking for.”
A different message than just a straight no, Shadow realized too late. He observed the sharp perk of Sonic’s ears while the grip that shifted to his bicep gave a squeeze. “Tell me. Tell me what I’m not getting.” A cough had Sonic wipe his mouth with the back of his glove. “I want to learn what it takes to be your friend.”

It started with the chao. Then, strange energy signatures. It was easy work; the everyday run-of-the-mill adventure leading him to an island called the Verdant Maw. Sonic’s friends would make space for him, always- but when he isn’t around, they’re still living their lives without him. He’s starting to feel the impact.
At least he can count on Shadow to stay the same.
The pair of hedgehogs work together to solve a new threat, learn just how far family extended beyond the ARK, and ask what it means to be a friend.

Summary
Four months ago, the band Soundspeed was formed. Now, still nobodies, the gaggle of young adults vies to compete in the biggest Battle of the Bands competition on the east coast. Six elimination rounds. Six total songs. Sonic is convinced it wouldn't be too hard. That is, at least, until he meets the ultimate distraction: a tall, dark, and handsome waiter named Shadow.
Unfortunately for the rest of the band, Shadow is a song Sonic just can't get out of his head.

Summary
Sonic Star, a famous outlaw known for his gun-slinging, has taken in a young fox kit named Tails Prower. The young kit has immense power and potential for a strange form of magic but little control. Out of concern for the kit, Sonic approaches an… old friend, the Shadow of the Desert Waste, to ask if he’d be willing to tutor Tails, as he possesses similar abilities. While the Shadow is initially resistant, he feels as if he owes Sonic and agrees. So begins Tails’ apprenticeship under the Shadow, an arrangement neither are entirely onboard with but agree to regardless. However, Tails soon learns there is more to his teacher and about his adopted brother…
