Summary
Harua remembers Yuma. He liked him enough, didn’t speak to him much when he was still alive. He does remember one day, though, while he was at the market for his mother, probably about eleven years old. He’d been pushed over by some older boys and Yuma had smiled at him and told him to “stop being a baby, they’ll only tease you more,” when he cried, but also wiped the blood from his knee. Finding out he’d gone missing was crazy, and he’d tried to comfort his sobbing mother at the eventual, bodiless funeral with the story. He still wondered if Yuma was out there sometimes, hoped maybe he’d ran off to a nearby kingdom looking for work and hadn’t been kidnapped by pirates like Taki theorised.

Summary
Maki lays down next to Taki, trying not to look at the incredibly full suitcase he's had packed since the weekend, one that he now has to empty. "Well, I'll just stay here, then. My Christmas dinner will be rice and a fried egg. Convenience store ice cream for dessert."
Taki makes a sad little sound, then leaps up from the couch with an excitement only found in newborn puppies upon being presented with a treat. "What if," he starts, practically vibrating with excitement, "you stayed with me? My mom wouldn't mind, and we can do, like, fun winter things!"
-
International student Maki can't go back home thanks to a snowstorm. Taki offers to let him stay with his family during winter break.

Summary
"The answer is no, Harua."
Fuma's voice leaves no room for argument, but Harua manages to make some regardless.
"It's not fair! My he-" Harua stumbles over the word, lowers his voice, "It might not come for another week or two. Then I'll be unsettled and miserable."

Summary
His technique is damn near perfect, these days- he has no intention of winning, not really. He's a bit like Nicholas, in that way, wanting the rush and the release of being caught. Still, it's no fun if it happens too early- but he doesn't want to just be hiding out the whole time, either. The others should get to play with their food, at least. Shake him around by their teeth like a squeaky toy.
He peeks behind the bark of a tree, his head poking out just slightly. Taki's nose is high in the air, scrunching rapidly now that he's caught a stronger trace of his scent. Yuma grins.

Summary
Even if he’s tired, and doesn’t exactly find much pleasure in being the one being hunted anymore, he knows tonight is necessary.
The younger members have all been a bit more worked up after being deprived of their hunt last month (and still don’t know the older four had theirs), and somehow not even the constant activity that comes along with touring hasn’t tired them out.
Their hormones are still running rampant regardless, and at least having this out of the way will make his sub-leader duties a little bit easier for the month. He’s tired of keeping Harua and Yuma from having another one of their catfights- sorry, cat-bunnyfights (Harua finds the term catfights leans too far in Yuma’s favour), and Taki and Maki have been moody for the last week. Jo seems fine, at least.
