Minhee used to pride herself at being able to read Chan at a glance—a man so eager to please, so unbearably nice and amiable that it almost made him frustrating, at times. But Minhee figured it all out, from the meaning to the tilt of his head to the clench of his jaw. The way to get under his skin, push his buttons, to make the mask fall and to reveal the man underneath—slightly impatient, awfully possessive, obsessive to a fault. Thoroughly imperfect and absolutely entrancing.
It only occurred to her, maybe too late, that such an intimate understanding could go both ways, too.

Seungmin turns to him, looks into his eyes. “Listen, Jeongin.”
“Yeah?” There is a weird hint of hope in Jeongin’s voice, and Seungmin hates himself for latching onto it, even just for a second.
He swallows it down, lowering his voice. “We had fun. It was fun, for one night. It was good, right?” Seungmin allows himself the little kick of his heart, when Jeongin nods with red ears. “Right. Cool. Then that was that. No one has to know. Now we’re working together, and we’ll keep it professional, yeah? We’re coworkers now. That’s it.”
Seungmin prides himself in keeping personal and professional matters separate. Call it compartmentalizing, sure. It’s a set of rules he abides to religiously, and he doesn’t want to start going against them anytime soon. That is, until Jeongin comes, and blurs the lines he set for himself.

Hyunjin and Changbin never really were together. There was nothing that tethered Changbin to his side, that made him belong. The moment Changbin asked for that much, Hyunjin ran the other way.
