After leaving the house under the guise of running an errand, you end up on his Uncle Slider's doorstep. After conversations and advice (and a few tears shed over cherished memories), you know just what it takes to make sure Bradley knows he's cared for on one of the most taxing days of the year.
Alternate summary: Slider is Bradley's favorite uncle, his confidant, and his safe place outside of Maverick and Ice. Of course he's going to tell the love of Bradley's life exactly what he needs when his nephew can't.

While deployed and the Crawfords are stationed stateside, the unspeakable happens, and Bradley Bradshaw finds himself stepping into a role only Maverick could have prepared him for.
Through the ups and the downs, Bradley comes to know his best friend Elizabeth in a way he never has- as a mother and eventually someone he discovers he has feelings for.
This story contains angst, heartache, friendship, love, and plenty of Hangman, Phoenix, Maverick, and Rooster with a baby.
I promise it's way better than the summary.
It's the friends to lovers that no one asked for, but my brain created it anyway.

After John B and Sarah return, JJ is still struggling with the emotional weight the situation carried. He accidentally falls asleep in the Boneyard after an overwhelming afternoon, and the following morning attempts to mask a pretty "nasty cold". The Pogues catch on, but before they can confront him outside of class, JJ's illness takes a dramatic turn.
A reflection on love, friendship, and how the strongest families aren't always blood.

Summary
JJ's not stupid, but after years of living with Luke Maybank as a father and never receiving the attention he deserved, it's going to take a lot to convince him otherwise. As fate would have it, living with the Heywards brings a new set of "rules" into JJ's life, including good attendance at school, respect for teachers, and earned grades.
What happens when the dam finally breaks and Pope discovers the real reason JJ's sent to the office for being a disruption and refusing to read his textbooks? How will JJ react to one of his biggest "secrets" being revealed to his pseudo-parents?
As always, plenty of platonic love ensues.

Summary
After a run in with his father at Heyward's Seafood, JJ seeks comfort in John B at The Chateau. While unfortunate circumstances have pulled John B away from his home, JJ is met by an unlikely form of comfort in Sarah Cameron. The two reach a mutual understanding over crappy dads and crappy situations at home, apologize for things that neither of them could control, and build the foundation of a friendship that will withstand the test of time (because it's already survived a "death" and a homecoming).
This is the JJ & Sarah Cameron friendship fic none of y'all asked for but hopefully y'all love.
Set after Season 1, and my works "The Phantom" and "You're My Brother" but can be read independently.
