A dark, exposed area hiding armed attackers on all sides, waiting to ambush. And this time, the attackers were all up in his head. Quiet meant there was nothing to keep his mind off the only thing it had been on for the past few weeks—months, maybe.
That Wocky was not, and could no longer call himself, a man.
On a particularly slow day at the Kitaki bakery, Wocky, left alone to run the shop for a while, runs into Klavier Gavin. Except, Wocky has been thinking about some things lately— things that his parents just can’t understand, no matter how supportive they are.
