“What?” Ray asks, voice cracking. He blinks at him, stunned as he drops to his knees automatically between Gerard’s legs, his heart jack-hammering wildly. Surely he’s misheard. Gerard leans forward enough for their noses to brush. Up close, Ray can see flashes of all his tiny, sharp teeth as they glint at him in the dark.
