This is one of my absolute favourite stories by this author. Set in Regency England, it's perfect, with wonderful dialogue, and it really transports you to another time and place. Can't recommend it highly enough! I left comments on every one of the 20 chapters :)

Summary
“I have bad news.”
Taehyung sinks into the booth, half of the whiskey in his glass finished before he can even take his seat. He groans, sighing in frustration while he runs a hand through his hair. He looks like he had a long day, the kind that wears him down to the bone.
“Oh.” Jeongguk scoots closer, leaning his elbows against the table. “What’s going on, hyung?”
“I’m getting married.”
OR:
For as long as he they have known each other, Jeongguk and Taehyung have been chasing time, toeing the line between friends and something more—stolen moments, blurred lines, and words left unsaid as they’ve danced around their feelings for each other. For years, they’ve pretended, but reality comes crashing down on them when Taehyung is promised to someone else—expected to marry to solidify a business union between Seoul’s most powerful families, and Jeongguk is left on the sidelines, helpless as he watches it unfold.

I LOVED this story. I love all this author's stories, but this is one of my favourites. This is what I commented on the final chapter:
I mean, this is just the most perfect epilogue, isn't it? Everything we could have hoped for and more! Winter - I loved the mention of pistachio croissants - whatever made you think of those? 😉 I loved the New Year kiss, "as they promise to choose each other every single day." 🥹
Spring - I can picture Tae in the brown wool coat - and he does indeed make anything look good! I loved jealous JK, and Tae deliberately provoking him. It was a beautifully hot smut scene - so good that it's what they wanted to do all those nights for years and years and never could - or thought they ever would.
Summer - THEY'RE GETTING MARRIED!!! And Yoongi spilt the secret! It was a beautiful, intimate wedding, with just the seven of them - perfect. And it was nice Tae's mother sent the cake - I think that relationship can be, if not totally mended, then patched up enough for them to be on civil terms. Kudos to both Eunji and Tae for being willing to try. And of course the wedding was on a roof - where else could it be? And with Yoongi as the officiant! (There's got to be a "Yoongi, marry me" joke in there, surely? 🤭) The wedding itself made me cry - it was so beautiful and full of love, and the most wonderful ending for these two, even though, in actual fact, it's just the beginning.
This has been the most perfect story, from beginning to end and everything in between. Starting with a wedding that never was, and ending with the wedding it always should have been, and had to be. (And maybe the wedding we all hope for.) I always think you've already created your best characters - how could you possibly top what you've already written? But you always seem to. Every single time. It's an amazing gift, without a shred of doubt, and thank you for sharing it with us. I look forward to your next wonderful story, whenever that may be 😘

This is very short, but absolutely brilliant and funny - definitely worth a quick read anytime I need a chuckle. This was my comment on it:
This is brilliant - so funny - every line's a zinger! Because we KNOW who these people are, and their history and backstory, you can write this with no preamble and we're right back in their world. All these little vignettes are wonderful, I've enjoyed every single one, of course - but this is my absolute favourite so far. It really made me laugh - it's the most formal foreplay I've ever read - Jane Austen would be proud! I would definitely love to see them (and you) revisit this idea - I could read endless pages of this ☺️

Summary
“Who is he?” Jeongguk asks.
“Who’s who?”
“Don’t play dumb,” Jeongguk mumbles between them, his words low enough for only him to hear. “Your date. Who is he?”
“You’re really going to keep doing this?”
“And you’re not?” The air vibrates between them, charged with the unspoken. “We’ve been at it for years, Jeongguk-ah. Why stop now?”
It’s as much an acknowledgment as any. Taehyung has never spoken it out loud before, and it catches Jeongguk off guard. It’s just a moment, a brief glimmer in his eyes, but Taehyung can’t let it slip. He has to capitalize on it.
“Though I will admit I enjoy seeing you jealous.” Taehyung can’t resist the smirk. “You’re awfully possessive of someone who isn’t yours.”
OR:
As sole heirs to their family fortunes, Jeon Jeongguk and Kim Taehyung have been rivals for as long as they can remember. In a game perfected over years, they’ve managed to dance around each other, careful to not disrupt the landscape of Seoul’s most powerful families. Enamored by the dance they can’t seem to stop, they keep chasing the thrill of the forbidden, until their games come to a halt one night—throwing life as they’ve always known it off its axis forever.

My comment on final chapter (I left extensive comments on all the chapters - all more detailed than this.)
Well, I'm all out of things to say and superlatives to use. This was a wonderful ending to a fabulous story, so beautifully told. It's funny, this is the last of your stories I've read. Once I'd discovered your fiction, I knew I wanted to read everything you'd written, but I left this one until last. I knew it would be good, because everything you write is, but just from the little precis you see as you look through them, this one appealed fractionally less than some of your others, so I left it until I had exhausted everything else. How stupidly wrong was I? This is possibly my favourite of all your stories, and all your versions of the main characters (though it's a tough call - they're all brilliant.) So - the moral for me must be, in the same way as you don't judge a book by its cover, don't judge a story by the AO3 precis! And, of course, trust the brilliant writer, who knows what they're doing! Thank you for this - it's been a marvellous ride, and I couldn't be happier about how it all worked out for them.

Absolutely loved this story - all this authors stories are wonderful, but this is one of my favourites. Grandparent age Tae & JK. Something we don't know about at the beginning which means Tae hates JK. It all gets resolved beautifully in the end.
