When Shinzen wakes up, it takes him some time to notice something is amiss. It starts with the servant's eyes lingering on him slightly too long. After that are the whispers in the hallway, gossip passed behind fans. There are a few giggles from some of the younger princes and princesses, snatches of I told you so and I bet it was him or her or whoever is so unfortunate to be targeted.
He has the feeling that Shinsa is involved.

This made me cry several times. It's very much a journey of growth, about learning and discovering things for yourself and outgrowing your teachers. There's very much a contrast between Wataru/Lance at the beginning of the journey and the end of the journey.

Or also; Instead of dying peacefully and being tossed into a shoddy grave where future students come to vandalize, Severus finds himself flung through time to the beginning of his sixth year, and must deal with the consequences.
