Summary
“Kageyama’s being bullied,” Yamaguchi grits, expression steeled.
Tsukishima lowers his book quietly, and stares, eyes wide.
“As if he has enough social competence to realise he’s being bullied.”
“Tsukki, please.”Meant to be 5 times Tsukishima accidentally and very reluctantly saved Kageyama from his own social ineptness, and one time Kageyama does the same for him, but we ran into problems bc OP can't count.
(or: everyone is srsly stressed over kageyamas existence, but kageyama, despite having the common sense of a Five Minute Crafts video, is like those buff himbos within the tsundere category. so he somehow ends up wholly unscathed throughout this shit, while everyone else doesnt)
tldr: kageyama lacks forethought, and everyone but him suffers the consequences of it.

Bookmarker's Notes
this is my favorite tsukikage fic.
"Tsukishima has always been possessive of the things in his world, in his life, even if he doesn't like those things, he just likes the association with it. The ritualistic interactions. He just likes the understanding from both sides of their stances and worth in each others' life. Makes everything organised. He doesn't feel territorial over impudent things, he just likes the easy understanding between them."
incredibly relatable quote.

Summary
“But what if you get sick too?” Hong asks, sniffling as Cale strokes his head.
“Even if I get sick from this, it doesn’t matter.”
On, Hong, and Raon tilt their heads in question, far too cute for vicious children. Cale sighs.
“I’m your guardian. Even when you’re sick, I’ll take care of you.”
The children look at him with wide eyes. Cale sighs once more.
"Your job right now is to get better," Cale says softly, "Go back to sleep."
(The children get sick. Cale takes care of them.)
