Summary
It's been almost 6 months since the end of the war. Katniss and Peeta have managed to regain the friendship they'd thought they lost, but Katniss is unsure if Peeta is ready to face his old feelings and pursue something more between them. Katniss herself worries that she may not be mentally prepared for what a relationship might entail. The problem is, that hunger she felt for him on the beach in the Quell won't relent, and it only grows stronger when they resume their previous sleeping arrangements.
In an attempt to stave off the hunger she feels for Peeta without putting pressure on him to label what exactly he feels for her, she suggests a simple proposition—that they become friends with benefits.
But friends with benefits is never as simple as it sounds, especially not with a history like theirs.

NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE: For years, I've wanted to edit this story. I learned so much about writing and knew I could make this story so much better. This fic has a special spot in my heart. I think it might be my favorite because it isn't what you initially expect it to be and has a great Everlark HEA ending. It's part sad, Capitol prostitute, part spy-thriller, part rebellion, love story. All of that is my long-winded way of saying that I'm currently working on rewriting this story. I should have 1-2 chapters finished every couple of days, so if you're interested in reading along, there won't be a long wait :).

Peeta is the sole winner of the 74th Hunger Games. As a desirable victor, he is quickly sold as part of Snow’s prostitution empire.
Katniss is a member of the rebellion living undercover in the Capitol.
Katniss and Peeta share one childhood moment and believe they will never see one another again until he unknowingly becomes the symbol of an uprising and she is given a mission to help save him.
