she never found herself sticking around in one place, instead she soared through the skies at speeds that would frighten most people. she moved from city to city, never staying still for very long, limbs twinging from stagnancy. she could be a relentless cold draft on a winter’s night, or a mellow coastal summer breeze, but either way, she wasn’t staying long enough to find out. always present, but never quite tangible.
after all, wind never stopped drifting away.
