Summary
“And do tell, when carnage and fire marks the edge of the world, when the only water is running red, will you still find the death of your enemy cathartic? Or will you suffer, knowing there is no one to show your repentance to?”
“But I feel none at the prospect of her death.”
“When it is no longer a thought but a reality, you will.”or
If Raya had not hesitated at the final battle in Fang.

Summary
During the days where things slowed down, Namaari found that her thoughts would often wander to rest on Raya.
Some years had passed. She was older, stronger. Less naive. Namaari had mostly stopped getting nightmares of the day the Druun was let loose, when she broke both trust and innocence too delicate for this world. Her mother had attempted to comfort her, telling her she was not to blame, that it was inevitable. Heart had paid for their selfishness with the destruction of their kingdom and the purging of the world. Fang, and the rest of Kumandra, had simply given them what they deserved. At least, that was what she was told to believe.
Namaari was growing to be a fine leader to her people. She worked hard, never giving herself a moment to rest. Most, including the chieftess, saw this as raw dedication to Fang, even though the princess knew deep down it was an attempt to keep her from moments of doubt and regret threatening to drive her insane with her own guilt. She made sure to keep those true feelings deep down.
But sometimes, those moments of shame and grief did come, and she let herself think.
And then she would always awake gasping from that same nightmare the next night.

Summary
Call has some self-discovery when she ends up alone with Ripley 8.
***
“You know what happens if we go back to get them?” Asks Ripley, leaning in too closely. It makes Call uncomfortable. She all but sees the shadowy side of Ripley’s face. Ripley is standing with her back against the sun, and she’s so tall that she’s blocking all the sunlight. “We’d be sent back into a huge lab floating in space, and they’ll break us down for parts. Would you like that? For humans to take a good look at you?” Ripley sounds as if she’s in a trance, cupping Call’s face, studying her like the first time they met.
Call shivers. Strangely, she resists the urge to take a step away. She remembers how you’re not supposed to run if you meet a wolf.Bookmarked by sovian

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

Summary
“Remind me, Schnee, whatever happened to we can’t do this again?” Cinder pants, riding the hand Winter’s slipped past her belt.
“I can stop,” Winter lies. They’re both fully clothed, courtesy of the damp and dirty cave floor, but it’s not preventing Winter from finding the spots she knows Cinder’s weak to.
Cinder glares down at her, flames leaking from her eye. “Do that and you’re a dead woman.”
