He sighed, the wheeze of it tearing at his throat. Even if he had managed to get out of there, there wasn’t much for him to go back to- his landlord had been hounding him for late rent for months now, and Adam didn’t have the money for him. That’s what he’d taken the damn stalker job for.
A hysterical laugh bubbled up in his throat. He was about to die, and he was stressing out about fucking rent. Stupid.
