Back in the Burial Mounds, before... everything that happened, Wei Wuxian had checked that everything was going well with his body and his connection to it, which seemed perfectly sensible to still do now. It had been 13 years. It would be worthwhile checking how well he’d held up in the long term.
Wei Wuxian wants to check up on Wen Ning, and definitely feels no guilt or pining. Wen Ning also definitely feels no guilt, pining or touch starvation whatsoever. Lan Wangji is ready for a conversation that is slightly different than the one he ends up having.

Wei Ying's head snapped over to them when he heard his voice, but he didn't look relieved.
"You- You've never answered before." Wei Ying hissed at him. His gaze lacked any of the trust of his rational, awake self.
Lan Zhan swallowed the familiar hurt of that look down painfully.
