Peridot felt weird, unsettled. Some type of longingness. Maybe it was a side effect to this planet, Peridot had been trapped long enough to know that odd things happen here all the time. Nonetheless, she found herself cross-legged on the top of her barn, gazing up at the stars. She could see homeworld from here, she remembers Garnet telling her that, so Peridot scanned the galaxy above for the familiar star. The more she searched, the more she felt a discomfort under her skin, restlessness pulling at her to go. Was she sick? Steven informed her that humans could develop such a thing from the environment around them. Before she was able to indulge herself in this thought, a familiar voice startled her.

Robby has gone from barely being able to watch to not wanting to even blink. He can’t keep his eyes from darting down to where Whitaker’s thighs grip the saddle, how he slides forwards on it with every downward bow of the bull and back as it pushes up. Again and again and again, he rolls with the mechanical bull with a single circular fluid motion.
It crosses his mind that this might be one of the hottest things he’s ever seen. He doesn’t even try to unpack that thought, it doesn’t even feel like an opinion he can change. It’s just a fact. Whitaker on the mechanical bull is one of the hottest things he’s ever seen.
