Summary
Since almost all chapters of the book are finished, one chapter will be shared each day.
In 1998, as the wizarding world stands on the edge of war, a mysterious new student arrives at Hogwarts. Eighteen-year-old Lyra Ashbourne is the last Aetherial, a being born from pure magic itself. Unlike witches and wizards who wield magic, Lyra is magic. Her existence has long been dismissed as a myth, and the truth is known only to Albus Dumbledore and Lyra herself.
At the same time, Draco Malfoy is struggling under the weight of the mission Voldemort has given him: assassinate Dumbledore. Trapped between fear, duty, and guilt, Draco begins spending his time in the Room of Requirement, unaware that Lyra has found refuge there as well.
Lyra's power feeds on intense emotions, and Draco's darkness—his fear, anger, loneliness, and pain—makes her stronger with every passing day. As their connection deepens, they become both each other's sanctuary and greatest danger. With Voldemort closing in and war approaching, Draco and Lyra must face a terrifying truth: the closer they grow, the closer they come to unleashing a power that could destroy them all. -

futile devices.
"Paris..."
And he said her name, only this time it wasn't filled with the same mocking tone as every other time it had come rushing from his lips. It wasn't sarcastic or hateful, and there wasn't the slightest hint of agitation. His voice was soft - serious - yet, it came out almost like he was praying.
He said her name, and this time, she didn't hate it. She didn't hate the way he used the same name to mock her in this way, in a way that made her feel like she was being praised.
and for the first time in a long time, she didn't hate being Paris.

Summary
If one were to ask anyone who’s been at Hogwarts for the last five years what altercations brought them the most entertainment, or perhaps the most inconvenience, the answer would undoubtedly be the weekly Daley-Malfoy altercations. Sometimes, during a particularly bad row, they would be a daily occurrence. Malfoy had a tendency to throw mean remarks and Daley had a tendency to throw hands, but both had a bad habit of pissing each other off.
And that’s all it was, until the magical world fell into a war.
Suddenly, being on opposite sides, their rivalry holds more weight.
Suddenly, they have missions.
Suddenly, they both change.

Summary
Draco Malfoy has a task to complete.
No one is meant to know about it. No one is meant to notice the way he disappears between classes, the shadows beneath his eyes, or the desperation hidden beneath every sharp word.
Inside Hogwarts, something broken waits to be repaired.
A cabinet. A passage. A way in.
Failure is not an option.
But secrets are difficult things to keep in a castle full of locked doors, shifting staircases, and curious eyes. And when someone begins to see too much, Draco finds himself caught between the mission he cannot escape and the one person he should have pushed away.
Some things are better left hidden.
Some secrets are safer in the dark.
And some choices, once made, cannot be undone.
