Summary
Dean Winchester was going to die.
When he didn't present at sixteen as expected, Dean was illegally recorded as an Alpha. He has known for a long time that he wasn't one, but to stay and protect his young brothers, Dean accepted the lie and hid his true nature until it couldn't be hidden anymore and his first heat came.
None of it mattered after Dean was framed and sent to prison.
An Alpha prison.
Shot full of suppressants that would give him at most a month until his true nature was revealed, Dean was thrown into a dangerous world where if even one Alpha discovered the truth, Dean's life would be forfeit.
Fate has a funny way of working though, in even the filthiest, most dangerous of places.

When they find the source, Sam doesn't like what he hears, but they get through it together, confronting every hard truth Dean managed to hide from Sam, and everyone else, for so long.
When Dean gets back to how he should be, the story will follow through the show, with changes based on how the events of this case would shape them.

Summary
Dean and Sam return to Boulder, CO, where they investigate a haunted school. The job seems simple enough to Sam, who has good, although vague, memories of living in Boulder back in 1992, when John Winchester rented a single-wide trailer, and the boys were able to walk home from school together. Dean, however, has altogether different memories, far less pleasant and far more damaging. It's during the investigation that Sam discovers the secret that Dean doesn't realize he's been hiding.
This story is set in the present day and in the past. It is not wincest.
