On screen, Kim Dokja looks at the floating countdown. I didn't get to die today and suddenly I'm in TWSA. In a cabin which story was never told in the novel. The novel that ended today, but never truly reached the end. I want to read, Kim Dokja thinks feverishly. I want to read the end. And to do that, I'm going to have to survive.
In the present, Kim Dokja was yanked up by the collar and faced the protagonist. It didn't even occur to Kim Dokja to get away himself, resigned to his fate. His head feels like it was stuffed with cotton, as if he breathed some sort of thought-annihilating mental miasma. The incoming violence was bound to happen.
"Tell me the truth."
Kim Dokja's eyes flew open. He had closed them with the expectation of getting his face caved in, not a question.

An ORV reaction fic where Dokja's suicidal ideation is a bit more obvious from Day 0. Kimcom, who had been whisked away into this space after the destruction of the Absolute Throne, watches Kim Dokja's past and realizes that he had intended to die during that fateful subway ride. Kim Dokja was talking with Han Sooyoung about how to defeat the 73rd demon king, Hsy was skeptical about Kdj's plan but Kdj reveals he memorized the demon king's pattern analysis. Just as Han Sooyoung has finished talking, the party members started disappearing and Kim Dokja slowly got transported to a reaction room far from the Star Stream.
While in the 0th turn, Yoo Joonghyuk was being annoyed by the Demon King of Salvation to choose the SSS-Grade Infinite Dimension Coat, finally giving in. He picks it and was suddenly transported to a very large room with some familiar but different faces.
In the alternate 1863rd timeline however, Han Sooyoung's Corporation was taking a break and preparing for a scenario. Hsy went out of the industrial complex to take a short smoke break when her vision faded to black and soon returned. But she wasn't outside of the complex, she wasn't in Seoul even. She was in an overly large room with a big television like in the cinemas at the front.

Slowly, the protagonist turned back to the reader as if looking for guidance, before finding Kim Dokja was holding an arm between them, keeping his distance, and looking well and truly disturbed.
Then, that bastard really had the audacity to look like he was genuinely hurt by Kim Dokja’s reaction.
