The fae was tall. Much taller than Tommy, and probably anyone else in the village for that matter. Hair the color of dark oak spilled over his forehead in tumbling curls. Flecks of gold dotted his cheeks like freckles, sitting underneath a pair of knowing eyes that seemed to flash between shades of earth and honey. His tall frame was draped in the most expensive-looking clothes Tommy had ever seen—flowing fabric in shades of snow and sunlight billowed in the light breeze. And there was so much jewelry. Gold bands decorated his arms, dangling gems decorated his pointed ears, and a shimmering gold circlet rested on his forehead.
Past the beauty though, there was danger. His nails were pointed, his teeth too sharp. When Tommy tried to look him in the eyes, his head grew fuzzy, as if perceiving the fae directly wasn’t something he was supposed to attempt.
He was smiling as he looked over Tommy.
“Are you lost?” He asked in that same lyrical voice.

Summary
People in the lower districts really weren’t fond of heroes. Heroes like the Hermits, rescue heroes, were rarely called in unless there was a supervillain attack. The Dream Team agency only patrolled the wealthier districts. The Syndicate wasn’t as bad as that, but they still steered clear of the low districts.
The only heroes that protected the slums were the ones who’d come from them. Like Tommy, who grew up in these streets; like Tubbo, who’d escaped to them; like Ranboo, who’d been abandoned in them.
Siren was not a welcome face here.
“Get back here!” The crowd around him gasped at Siren’s command, terrified that Tommy was done for.
Tommy turned around to look Siren in the eye as he said, “Get out of my streets, Siren.” Siren looked shocked even though Tommy had dodged his voice before. “Not so tough when you’re not in control, are you?” Tommy sneered at the man, ignoring Tubbo’s warnings in his ear to keep moving. “The name’s Wild Card, and these are my fucking people. So get out.”

Mercury grinned at themself in the mirror, chuckling a bit as they watched their reflection do the same. They fitted their earpiece on, looping it under their mask and out of sight. Turning to leave, they slid out the window of their 4th floor apartment, climbing out onto the fire escape.
“Mercury calling in for the night,” they spoke into their earpiece. “Where do you need me Oak?”or: Icarus is the hero Mercury, when they happen to see their nemesis's face on accident one night it send them into a spiral on his identity. Which doesn't help when they get mixed up with Enderian, one of the worst villains in the city.
