Summary
'Hold his mind,' Amarantha commanded. Lucien went utterly still, sweat gleaming on his neck as Rhysand bowed his head to the queen and faced him. Lucien kept his eyes shut. Ready-- he was ready for Rhysand to wipe out everything he was, to turn his mind, his self, to dust.

Summary
So that’s how it starts. It starts on a Saturday night before Roy’s first season as a head coach, before Jamie’s second full season with Richmond. Roy drives them both to his house and forces Jamie to drink two glasses of water, despite his protests that he’s not even tipsy, he’s not an old man like Roy and he’s physically impervious to hangovers. Roy groans and sighs and then Jamie pushes him up against the refrigerator and he stops groaning and sighing or even thinking, really, because Jamie Tartt has his lips on his throat and is dropping to his knees, hands steady as he fumbles with Roy’s belt. For a moment, he thinks about stopping him, about pulling Jamie to his feet and offering to call him an Uber and pretending this never even happened. But he wants this. Needs it, even. He’s been on edge for months with the stress of measuring up to Lasso and falling asleep at night with Jamie’s cocky smile behind his eyelids. So he doesn’t stop him. He threads a hand through Jamie’s hair
Set post-season 3, Roy and Jamie discover what comes after being enemies. But it's not like Roy expects it to go anywhere.

Summary
Tearing his ACL might be the best thing that’s ever happened to Jamie. He thinks Roy would probably disagree with him, though. Which, ok, fair. Hindsight is 50/50, or whatever the fuck they say.
or: Jamie Tartt’s attempts at self-discovery, Roy Kent’s attempts at emotional vulnerability, and Keeley Jones’ attempts at making fifty quid.

Summary
“It’ll take two seconds,” Higgins says. “I like to keep up to date with all the players, you know. I just thought, well, you moved recently. And your emergency contact.”
He pauses here, and Jamie raises an eyebrow. His emergency contact? He’d probably filled out some joke response last time, hadn’t he. Fucking Queen of England, Boris Johnson’s wife, something good.
“Oi, let’s see it then,” and Higgins passes over the paper like it’s a live bomb, and Jamie scans down to where he sees his own handwriting sitting over a few dotted lines, and, well. It sure ain’t the Queen.
or: Jamie goes through a series of unfortunate events, changes his emergency contact a few times, and considers the possibility that maybe, actually, letting other people help isn’t all bad after all.
