IN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK, there is a bar filled with people from all walks of life. The bar has stood the test of time, always shape shifting itself for the needs of its patrons: a place for two lonely people to find a connection; a place to drink beer at the end of the day before going to the silence of their homes; a place to meet with your friends, to watch the latest sports match on their decades old television, or to dance to the top 40 hits on the slimy dancefloor.
But now, for the man sitting alone in the closed-off section for the VIPs, the bar is a place to cry. To him, loneliness is now a far-fetched idea, something that once enveloped his entire being, now a foreign feeling.
