when lin suggests they form a pro-bending team, izumi has no other choice but to join. the peer pressure is real. this one single decision throws them into a spiral of sneaking around, coming up with unbelievably crazy excuses and explaining weird bruises. lin and kya won't stop making heart eyes at each other, while the only thing izumi does with her eyes is close them so she doesn't have to see any of that. oh and bumi joins too, just because he can.

Bucky blinks herself awake through blood-encrusted eyelashes to watch the woman with wings descend upon her, and can only think, she's an angel. She’s an angel coming to take me home.
It can't be true, though, because there is no universe in which Bucky Barnes would be going to heaven.
Then the woman barrels through the air like a grenade, crashing unceremoniously to the ground with a thump, and Bucky thinks, yeah, no, not an angel.
(Or: Sam's got this thing that attracts her to dangerous things, and Bucky is a very dangerous thing.)

Sam sat on the far end, elbow resting on the armrest, socked foot pulled up onto the cushion. Bucky had wedged himself between the couch and the coffee table, back against the couch, his head resting near Sam’s knee. Not quite touching. But close. A mug balanced between his hands, steam curling up toward the ceiling fan.
On screen, something exploded. Probably a war movie. Probably not one either of them actually liked, if the glassy, half-bored looks on their faces were any indication. Then Sam reached down. Barely looking, hand dropping into Bucky’s space. Bucky didn’t even blink. Just leaned a fraction to the side, enough for Sam to tug the elastic band out of his hair.
Sarah’s mouth tightened. That’s suspicious. That’s weird.
