“I’m no warlock, but it feels like I’m making a pact with a devil. Promising my devotion for temptation.” Tav glanced over to the bottle sitting beside them, it had betrayed him and his thoughts. It sat there in stationary judgment, mocking him. “Maybe not a devil, but a dark Fae.” He concluded.
Astarion immediately took his words and turned them around in his mind. “Hmm, devotion.” He murmured, mulling the idea over and seeming to like it. “And that’s what I would get, is it? If I were your patron?”
Tav realised that he had wandered into another one of their hypotheticals, only this time under the haze of more alcohol than usual. As Astarion watched him, he wondered how the vampire’s eyes were such an impossibly alive shade of red. Like freshly spilled blood, still bright and rich.
“Yes.” Tav answered.
