I’m going to make Sumeru beautiful. And you’ll come see it when you’re back. I’ll take you there, and you’ll see it,” he tells Al-Haitham boldly, as if it’s fact. Kaveh glows with confidence, raising his chin and setting back his shoulders as best he can from where he is sprawled over the railing. Al-Haitham only hums.
After ten years of traveling together to save the world, immortal elf mage Al-Haitham and human hero Kaveh part ways. Upon his return, Al-Haitham is confronted with the ephemerality of human life and left to find his own dreams and adventure, the memory of Kaveh at his side all the while.
