Somewhere along the way Kaido Shun had fallen into this childish fantasy driven persona. Years of pressure from home and being a burden on everyone had created a need for an escape, that's all it really was. Things started to look better once he met Saiki and the gang but the pressure never truly let up. When he and Kuboyasu Aren became friends things just clicked, and during moments when they were together nothing seemed to matter. Shun felt safe. However the ugly guilt and shame driven monster that is locked deep inside Shun never leaves.

this was so well written, the characters felt authentic and the humor in between scenes was nice :) I am somehow 3 years late to reading this, but I'm glad I picked it up. I ended up binging it in one night. I'm not sure the author is even active anymore to see this, but either way thank you so much for writing this fic! The angst really hit, it had me clenching my chest from the ache, and the ending was heartwarming <3
