Illuga closes his eyes, preparing for the worst, and forces himself to breathe deeper. His heart pounds like crazy.
The mattress beside him dips under a foreign weight. A cool hand gently touches the knots and
cuts the ropes.
Illuga’s eyes fly open in bewilderment and alarm.
…He did not expect such an act of mercy.
Illuga always thought his life would be spent among the dusty shelves of his father's shop. But when a wealthy fae petitions for a human spouse, he, an ordinary youth, is torn from his familiar way of life and sent to be seen like cattle at a fair.
Now Illuga is his wife and is forced to put up with some of his new husband's eccentricities, for it seems he isn't as simple as he first appears.

‘You seem starved, Illuga,’ the fae purred. Even though he looked completely smitten, he kept dodging all attempts of another passionate makeout.
‘I haven't seen you in a month!’ Illuga finally snapped. He tried to turn around and climb into Flins’s lap but the man grabbed his thigh and held him back with that impossible fae strength of his. ‘Damn it, just let me kiss you already!’
‘Have some patience, dear young master.’ Flins appeared to be greatly enjoying the situation, even patting the shorter man's head with pretend condescension that made Illuga growl. ‘If you spend a little more time in this garden, you'll find that late flowers bloom the most generously out of all.’Half a year has passed since their first meeting and contract. Illuga continues visiting Sir Flins every month but keeps the nature of their relationship a secret from the other Lightkeepers and Nikita. The fae naturally uses this and the captain's impatience as a tool to render him a sweaty, crying mess.

Summary
The age of the fae has come to an end in Sneznhnaya, and Lord Kyrill accepted this long ago. He already has the plans for a quiet departure from both the court and his life, but he still attends one last ball to silently say goodbye to it all. However, his plans fall apart completely when the other fae drag him to a secret auction with a prize rivaling anything seen during the Belyi-Tsar's reign.

Flins collects human souls the way he does his gemstones—with practiced ease curated into an exhibit of beautiful and precious things, each one kept and displayed with the meticulous devotion he affords all that he deems worth preserving. It is effortless, for a being of his standing.
Until this one.
This one particular hunter does not fall into the drawl of his Azure Flames—does not follow where the voice leads, does not lose the thread of himself in the honeyed words that Flins utters as persuasion. No. This one comes towards him with all the intentions to hunt him personally with the focused determination of someone who has made his vocation and does not intend to be distracted from it.
And so what begins as predator and prey becomes something else entirely. Something vague that required a new language, assembled slowly from the wreckage of all their true intents.
For each bargain, for each boundary the both of them crossed—the binding tightens. Every moment of surrender and unguarded weakness offered. For every instance of being seen by who had come specifically to end you, and still remaining—
It accumulates into something inescapable.

Summary
In a world where the Belyi-Tsar's court of fae still exists, the relationship between Snezhnaya and Nod-Krai is a tense one. The Wild-Hunt rages on however, and someone has to deal with it. The young captain of the Nightmare Orioles squad is faced with a situation so dire, he embarks on a lone and impulsive journey to get the help of the fae he'd only heard about in terrifying stories. A part of him is sure he'll have to sacrifice his soul to get what he needs, but the mysterious fae he meets seems to be interested in something entirely different.
The water ran out and Illuga pushed away the flask, gasping for breath. He really was thirty. But he could not possibly blame that small factor for making a complete fool out of himself.
Sir Flins’ gaze was transfixed on the his open, glistening lips. He stood still for a moment, then suddenly reached out and wiped the young man's wet mouth with his gloved thumb.
Illuga flushed red and quickly turned away. Those tales couldn't even begin to grasp just how odd the fae really were.Series

“Whatever’s bothering you, I’m all ears. Sounds like you need it off your chest,” Varka coaxes. “I’ve been told—”
“People keep flirting with Flins, and it’s pissing me off,” Illuga blurts, then immediately covers his face with his free hand. Mortification bolts through him, warming his body to the tip of his ears.
Varka pauses, and when Illuga risks a peek, the Grand Master has his jaw dropped open. He looks less like his esteemed title and more like a school girl hearing gossip. Delight nearly radiates from him. “This is the best day of my life,” he says, and Illuga begs the Moon Goddess to grant him death.
Illuga can't stand people flirting with Flins. Varka makes a decent (but definitely not recommended) therapist.

The black of his ethereal cape flutters. Flins kneels before Illuga with a dark flourish, taking Illuga's hand into his long, elegant fingers. The demon lowers his head, pressing a cool kiss to the crest of Illuga's knuckles.
"There is no other soul that has so bewitched me. Nothing else has possessed me so fiercely with desire. In all of my lifetimes, within all the planes of existence and time immemorial—there is nothing I have wanted more than I want you, Master Illuga."
Illuga's late father leaves behind disgruntled creditors who are hounding Illuga for money he doesn't have. A mysterious tome teaches him how to draw a summoning circle, and in a moment of desperation, Illuga is forced to use it.

Summary
Illuga moved, his body having made the decision even though his conscious mind hadn’t caught up yet. He pushed Flins out of the way and felt the lance stab him in the heart through his back.
Strange, how that was almost painless. Perhaps his brain simply didn’t catch up yet. Perhaps it simply blocked away the pain. Either way, it was a small mercy. Slamming into the sand was hilariously more painful than the stab itself.Illuga took up an attack that would have injured Flins, nearly dying in the process because of the Abyssal corruption that took over. Flins refused to let that happen, even if the method to save Illuga wasn’t something he was proud of.

Summary
Flins and Illuga meet to plan the evacuation of Nod Krai, and to flirt a little; this much we knew. However, what the in-game models were not sophisticated enough to show us was that Illuga did actually slam Flins against a wall and kiss the living daylights out of him. Definitely.
This is an extension / fill-in-the-gaps for the Welkin Moon Act VII Archon Quest Scene. Flins continues, as I like to write him, to be a pathetic miserable wet blanket in love. Illuga worries about Flins’ safety, and takes decisive action. Neither of them name the emotion they have been dancing around – not so close to Nod Krai’s greatest battle. Swapping POVs (Flins / Illuga / Flins).

Columbina tilts her head. “Has it had any physical effects? Please indulge my lack of sight.”
Illuga frowns. “I don’t have any scars from the Hunter now, if that’s what you mean,” he says. “It’s as if I’d never been attacked in the first place.”
Aether’s hand hesitantly lands on Illuga’s shoulder. “I didn’t want to stress you out more until we could talk to Columbina, but now that we’re here, you should probably look at your reflection,” he says quietly, carefully.
His body stiffens in an instant, and that feeling of wrong, wrong, wrong hits him again full force. He steps out from under Aether’s touch and staggers on autopilot toward the closest pool of water. Illuga crouches down at the edge, pushing his fingers into his hair for some sort of grounding as he leans forward, lantern knocking against his thigh. He catches sight of his reflection, and his world tilts on its axis.
Illuga comes back from the dead more than human.

Summary
Five times Flins touches Illuga out of curiosity. Five times Illuga feigns ignorance until the truth spills forth.
Flins removes his glove before he touches Illuga's cheek again, marveling at the feel of the soft tissue under his cold skin. All the while, Illuga’s eyes stare into his own—the colours so bright and enticing. The blue of its outer circles rivals the sky, and the red center reminds him of the blood the young man spills so willingly for his homeland. It taints the lovely feeling Flins holds into darker thoughts, and he lingers—longer than he should—letting his thumb run over the same spot over and over again…
“Sir Flins?”
“Yes?”
“I think that’s enough,” the Young Master states abruptly before turning on his heel, leaving Flins standing where he is, staring at his hand as if he’s never had one to begin with.
