Summary
Patton hummed cheerily as he squirted ketchup in the shape of a smiley-face over a bowl of spaghetti. Setting the bottle down, he turned the spaghetti over with a fork, mixing the ketchup into it. Janus watched with morbid curiosity as he then ladled the ketchup-spaghetti into two soft taco shells.
For the sake of his own self-preservation, Janus said exactly what he felt: "I'm not eating that."

This was archived at Sacrilege! sometime in the mid-1990s. At the time I was using "Irene Adler" as my pseudonym for the Holmes fiction. Sacrilege! is, alas, defunct; so I am reposting those stories here.
The year after the Return, Holmes is working hard on a blackmail case and won't tell Watson who the client is. Watson does a little digging, and learns a lot of things that he really should have known already. The rest is history.
