This fic is legendary on its own due to its reputation, but the quality does kind of taper off towards the middle. The characterization is a little off and I know it’s an AU but I think Wills soft spoken-ness is what makes him Will Byers.
Musician Mike Wheeler is a very nice concept and I like the dynamic between him and Will in this fic.
Would recommend if you’re bored and want some season 4 nostalgia!!!! -

Good 2009 Ghoap fics are hard to find. This one was a life saver!
The letter format and how the author brings the characters to life through the very in character writing is very refreshing.
I loved how Simon was written in this fic, I love 2009 Simon TOO much!

Before things can get awkward, John turns the aborted handshake into a jovial, manly sort of punch to Ghost’s shoulder. It's rather like how he imagines it would be to hit an adult moose, both in the physical sensation and in the frisson of anticipated danger it elicits. Gamely, he says, “Truck’s just about set, sir. Glad to be working with you.”
Ghost’s eyes flick up to John’s face, and then higher, to his hair. He frowns.
